The retrospective of the famous British designer Alexander McQueen in New York's Metropolitan became one of the most popular exhibits in 140 years of museum's operation. Organized by The Costume Institute, the exhibit featured McQueen's work starting with his Central Saint Martins postgraduate collection of 1992 and up until his final runway collection after his death in February 2010.

The Parisian couturier Jean Paul Gaultier has recently opened his grand exhibit "Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk" in the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, which will be displayed until the beginning of October. The extensive exposition features the designer's most renowned creations, including the iconic corset from Madonna's 1990 Blond Ambition World Tour, and a leopard dress which took the designer 1060 hours to create.
