Vietnamese antique collector, Cao Xuan Truong, has finally had his lucky bid, winning an auction last year. The precious lot was a silver book gilded with gold, a gift of a Vietnamese king, Thieu Tri, to his mistress in 1846. The 14x23 cm book weighs almost 2 kg and only has 5 sheets featuring 186 scripts in Chinese referring to the concubine.  Read more »
